This is my 4th day in Bangkok or pretty much my last day because the next day i will go back to Indonesia 😭
My 4th day started with us went to Siam again for our last make up shopping. So we went to EveandBoy again and i ended up with only bought several things because i already bought everything that i need before. After that, we went to the central Siam to take pictures because Resty had not take pictures in there 😄
We didn’t go to Siam Paragon or Siam Square after that because it is not necessary and we already planned to go to UNICORN CAFE! We took the skytrain from Siam station to Chongnonsi station. Using google maps we walked from the station to the cafe and it took around 10 minutes by walking.
I was literally died when i walked into the cafe. It was like walking into a heaven! The cafe was super duper cute!! Dominated with pastel colors like pink, purple and blue with many unicorn plushies all over the cafe. The cafe is usually crowded but lucky for us, we got the best table near the window haha. Of course we had to orded their signature Milky Way drink served in a big star glass which can occupy 4 persons or more (even 4 of us couldn’t finish it 😂) and also the rainbow crepe cake. The drink is sooo good it was sweet and milky and yummy and the best is the cake. It was so smooth and soft and not too sweet so we won’t feel sick for eating too much sugar hahaha it was perfection! And we can wear their unicorn onesie for free while we’re in the cafe! This is a must visited place if you go to Bangkok and if you’re a fan of unicorn or cute things.
After we went to Unicorn Cafe, we decided to go back to our hotel to rest for a while because we planned to go to Asiatique again. Since Resty didn’t join us in the first day, we decided to wear white outfits again. We came out with this idea when we were at Platinum. We found this store that sells long dress and we thought maybe we should wear long white dress for our last day 🙂
Our Bangkok trip was so fun and memorable just like our previous trip. This is our third times traveling together after Korea and Jogja. We hope that we can always travel together even when we are married and have kids haha. I am looking forward for our next trip 😉
On October 13th, King of Thailand, King Bhumibol Adulyadej is passed away. We heard this news when we were in Asiatique after we saw some Thailand people crying. At first i was confused but then something clicked in my mind. For a few days i saw some Thailand artists post the picture of the King on instagram saying Get Well Soon King because the King is hospitalized for his sickness. When i saw the people crying, i know that something bad must be happening. After i checked the news just to make sure, it was confirmed that the King is passed away.
The situation was gloomy after that. I saw on the news that people are gathering on the street in front of the hospital, carrying the King’s pictures. They were crying for their King. The government declared a year-long mourning period for the King. Citizens were asked to refrain from participating in “joyful events” and entertainment for 30 days following his death (source:wikipedia). A day after the King’s death, Thailand people were seen wearing black clothes.
So our actual last day in Bangkok or our 5th day is surrounded by sadness. I have a huge love for Thailand and i can feel their sadness too. My deepest condolence for all Thailand people. Rest In Peace King Bhumibol Adulyadej.
