Hi guys!
As i promised before, i will post about my trip to Bangkok. If you don’t know, this is my second time in Bangkok unlike before, this time i went to Bangkok my friends who also went to Korea with me ๐Ÿ™‚
So i was in Bangkok from October 10th (Monday) to 14th (Friday). Just like Korea, we were on different flights haha. Me and Astrid took Thai Lion, Hasnah was on Garuda Indonesia and Resty took Malindo Air because she is from Bandung. My flight is at 10:10am (coincidence right? 10:10am on 10-10-2016) ๐Ÿ˜‚ and Hasnah’s flight is supposed to be at 9:40am BUT she missed her flight! Thankfully she can took the next flight which is at 12:45pm. Resty arrived the next day which is on Tuesday because she has to go to work on Monday.

Me and Astrid arrived in Bangkok around 13:30pm and after immigration and baggage claim we went straight to the counter that sell SIM Card or Thailand phone number because we need that for internet! We use dtac provider and it cost 299baht with unlimited interned for 7 days.

We took a taxi to go to our prebooked hotel and to make it easier we save the hotel address in Thailand language just in case the driver can’t read English. The ride took around 40 minutes to get to our hotel. We stayed at Glur Bangkok Hostel and Coffee Bar in Bangrak. I chosed this hotel because it is very near to the BTS Skytrain station and boat pier. And it is located right behind Shangri-la Hotel which is the hotel that i stayed last year so i know the area really well ๐Ÿ˜„ After check in we were ready to go to our room. Here is the funny part, the hotel does not have elevator and our room is in the 5th floor. Going up to our room is definitely a challenge but at least we have something to laugh at ๐Ÿ˜‚.

We were surprised to see the room because it is very big and spacious! Before we thought that the room might be small especially for 4 persons but no, we can even open our luggages and lay it on the floor.

While waiting for Hasnah to arrived, me and Astrid went to 7-11 and buy cup noodles because we haven’t had our lunch yet haha. Around 5pm Hasnah arrived in our hotel we all rest, freshen up and ate snacks for a while because we planned to go to Asiatique later.

We went to Asiatique around 7pm. We took the free boat from Sathorn Pier (2 minutes walking from our hotel) to Asiatique. As you know, that day was my birthday and i want to celebrate it with my friends. But of course we had to take pictures first ๐Ÿ˜„ and because we still full from previous late-lunch, we decided to eat dessert instead. I found this MangoTango cafe from the internet and it is famous within tourists so i need to try it! MangoTango sells Thailand’s most famous dessert which is mango sticky rice.

I tell you it was heaven! The mango is so sweet and delicious together with the salty savoury of the sticky rice. Seriously i can eat 4 of it by myself!

We didn’t spend much time in Asiatique because honestly we were exhausted so after that we decided to just go back to our hotel. Back in our hotel, we planned about our tomorrow’s schedule because there is a changing plan since Resty was not there yet and she would arrived in the afternoon and then we called it a day.

That is my 1st day in Bangkok. I will continue about my 2nd day in my next post so see you soon! ๐Ÿ˜˜
