Cushion is my favorite makeup product after lippies. I think cushion is so convenient if you are in a rush because you just need to “tap tap” and voila! You’re ready.
I always interested to try new cushion especially from the Korean brand. In my experience, Korean cushion never dissapoint me whether the formula or the packaging ๐
Etude House recently released this AC Clean Up Cushion which targeted for acne prone skin. It claimed to has mild formula that turn into satin-matte finish. I got this when i went to Korea and the price is โฉ16.000.
All the description in the box both in Korean and English. This cushion contain tea tree oil and salicylic acid that is why it is good for acne skin.
The case is in pastel mint color. The interesting thing is this cushion is “thinner” than the usual cushion. I think Etude is starting the innovation of slim cushion. It is great because cushion is usually bulky and use much space if you put it in your purse.
Like other cushion, you open the case and you find the sponge and then you open the tray and find the product (i guess this part is not so special anymore ๐)
For the sponge, you got the usual air puff sponge. Not my favorite kinda sponge because i prefer the velvet-y sponge like Beyond sponge but this works well too. I got mine in the shades #Natural Beige. I think this shade suits me well because it doesn’t make me ghostly white ๐
Recently my skin is in a bad condition. I guess i used a wrong product or because of the changing season from rainy to dry season.
This cushion gives a light to medium coverage after 2 or 3 application. In here i only do 1 application because i want to know the coverage and i don’t use any primer, concealer or powder. I think the coverage is okay i still need concealer to cover my acne scar and pimples.
Overall, i like this cushion especially now when my skin is breaking out. Hopefully the tea tree and salicylic acid will “calm” my skin after using this cushion ๐
The other thing that i like from this cushion is its longevity. I used this cushion yesterday and i went swimming. Surprisingly my cushion is still sit well on my face. I guess the matte formula makes it waterproof.

nice review ๐ i’d like to try it too but still confused between natural or honey beige one.. i’m NC 30-35 and i think i have slightly darker complexion than yours. Do you think natural will suit me? I’ve tried the one from face shop (natural beige) and it’s too light , bit grayish for me T.T

Thank you^^ most korean cushion can be very light and grayish even the darkest shade. But if you are interested to try this cushion, i guess just to be safe you can try honey beige ๐

Hello! Yes they sell the refill for this cushion ๐ sadly the old any cushion case cannot be use with this refill because this cushion’s refill has different shape. This cushion is thinner but has larger diameter so it won’t fit the old cushion ๐ฆ hope this help and enjoy your trip in Korea!

Is it hard to open the cushion since it doesn’t have a push button? I have to have short nails for my job and idk if i’ll have trouble with opening it. Thank you!

Hello ๐ it’s not hard at all to open the cushion you don’t need nails to open it haha i tried to open it using my thumbs and succeed ๐ maybe at first it will be a little hard to open since it’s new. Hope this help ๐

Do you ever tried the older cushion of etude house? like Magic Any Cushion? Do you think the refill of AC Mild cushion would fit the older cushion case of etude house?

Thanks a lot^^ yes i tried the precious mineral any cushion. Sadly it won’t fit, AC Mild Cushion is thinner and has larger diameter than the old cushion. Hope this help ๐

Hello^^ in my personal experience, this is the cushion that suit best for my skin. I have oily skin and most cushion make my skin greasy after few hours but not with this cushion and this cushion doesn’t break me out either i don’t have any acne issue after i use this cushion ๐

Hello ๐ in my opinion most korean makeup are pretty light in term of shades even the darkest shade can be too light in most people. I see most korean girls use light beige so if you have skin similar to korean i guess you can choose light beige but if you’re afraid it will be too light you can choose natural beige just for safety haha.
